This wildlife painting of elephants and lions is inspired by my childhood memories growing up in Kenya during the 1960's, although then I didn't hear of elephants charging a pride of lions. I do remember seeing an elephant charging and being filled with a combination of fear, awe and wonder. Today elephants and lions are having to adapt their long-established patterns of behaviour to drought and dried up river beds.
